Terms of service

thehunt (thehunts.app) is a job application tracker operated by Cj Sacdalan ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using thehunt, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

• You must be at least 16 years old to use thehunt.
• Give an email address you can access, and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
• One account is for one person. Tell us at calebjohn.sacdalan17@gmail.com if you think someone else has accessed yours.

The applications, notes, and interview details you add are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run thehunt for you: saving them, showing your streak and stats, and sending the emails you turn on. You can export your data as CSV or delete your account at any time from Settings. Please don't add other people's sensitive personal information.

Use thehunt for tracking your own job search. Don't:

• break the law with it, or use it to harass anyone;
• try to access other people's accounts or data, or get around our security or limits;
• overload the service, including by automating requests or using the job-link reader to fetch pages in bulk;
• copy, resell, or build a competing service from thehunt's code or design.

When you paste a job link, thehunt reads that public page to suggest the company, role, and job type. Those suggestions can be wrong or incomplete, so check them before saving. Job sites and employers are independent of us: their own terms apply, and we aren't responsible for their content or hiring decisions.

• One-time payment, not a subscription. A Hunt Pass gives 90 days of access to its features from the moment of purchase. It never renews or charges you again. Buying another pass adds 90 days to your current access.
• Price. The price is shown before you pay. Launch prices and promo codes may change or end at any time, but never affect a pass you've already bought.
• Payment. Checkout is handled by Polar, which processes the payment, applicable sales tax, and your receipt. Polar's terms also apply to the purchase.
• Refunds. If the Hunt Pass isn't right for you, email calebjohn.sacdalan17@gmail.com within 14 days of buying it and we'll refund you. A refund ends that pass's access.
• When access ends, Hunt Pass features lock, but everything you saved stays in your account, and past interview rounds remain readable.

Tracking applications and your streak are free. We may add, change, or remove features as thehunt grows. If a change significantly affects something you've paid for, we'll make it right, for example with a refund for the unused time.

thehunt helps you stay organized and consistent. It can't promise interviews, offers, or a job, and its stats describe your activity rather than predict outcomes. The service is provided "as is" and "as available": we work to keep it running and your data safe, but can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free, so keep your own copy of anything important (Settings lets you export).

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a missed opportunity or lost data, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

You can stop using thehunt and delete your account from Settings at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you the chance to export your data.

If we update these terms, we'll change this page, the version number, and the effective date. For significant changes, we'll also let signed-in users know in the app. Continuing to use thehunt after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. If there's ever a problem, please email us first. Most things can be sorted out quickly.
